Registered as a Dove 8X for Farnborough 1960, but seen here at the 1962 Shackleton Sales Weekend. Acquired and operated by David Brown Corporation from their company airfield (Crosland Moor) near Huddersfield, Yorkshire from 1961 to 1970. Partially converted by McAlpine Aviation (Luton) in 1965-6 to Riley Dove configuration omitting the swept fin, but incorporating the turbocharged Lycoming engines and flush-riveted wing leading edge. The aircraft was white overall with all external markings in red, as per the B&W photo. It stayed like this throughout its time with DB's, except for the name "David Brown" above the windows on each side, in capital letters, in matching red. Continued in operation with David Brown's until 1970. Sold Sptember 1971 as OY-DRP.
