Delivered new to the RAF as WK137, this and two other Canberras were sold to the West German Air Force in 1966 and all painted in an all-over orange colour scheme for use, initially in a target towing role, by Erprobungstelle 61 of Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich. They were later to be employed in experimental work and trials with Militarische Geographisches Amt based at Jever.
