Built originally as an NF11, it was allocated the military reg WM261 but operated as a trials aircraft with the manufacturer and Ferranti under its civil reg. Nicknamed 'Metadent', a reference to a brand of toothpaste, from its red cheat line. Flew only 346 hours.
