This aircraft lost it's re-fuelling probe whilst taking on fuel from a Victor tanker after participation in Operation 'Black Buck' during the Falklands conflict. It was forced to divert to Galeao Airport in Brazil, where the crew were briefly interned before their eventual return with the aircraft to Ascension Island.
