Nice radar nose mod. Scramble have it as an AC-47D but that must have been later as a gunship for Vietnam? Backstamped G ELSTER This designation was applied to C-47s modified for operations with Air Force Airways and Communication Service (AACS)between 1953 and 1962. In 1962 it became RC-47D then later EC-47D. There was no USAF designation for the prefix "A" between 1947 and 1962, so we might assume it was for "Airways??" - J.Walls
