ZA176 (which entered RN service 16Dec.81) was flown to Ascension Island (30Apr82) flying 43 sorties during ther Falklands conflict. This Harrier diverted to land on Spanish freighter "Alraigo" after an avionics malfunction lost Lt.I.'Soapy' Watson's contact with carrier "HMS Illustrious" (7Jun83). Later to FA.2. Bought from Royal Navy and roaded in to Winthorpe 21Jul2004. [Carries '126' as operated with (final) 800 Sqdn]
