Brand new Britannia 737 being pushed back. Note the original draggy engine pods, still fitted a year later, see John Hamlin's LHR pic on ABPIC. Replaced by longer pods about 1970 at Boeing's expense I suspect (to improve speed and range). The latest 737-700ER can fly a payload 5,700miles (i.e Europe -U.S.West Coast?)
