Participant in the Air Race to Oz. Race against time to get to LGW after school before light went! From the owner of the aircraft - I was owner and pilot and am squatting on the wing in this image. The start of the Air Race was to be on 17Dec. but postponed for 24 hrs. Due to weather. We departed quite early on the 18 the (as the smallest aircraft) and flew 4 hrs. that day in daylight to Bordeaux.
