Ex 42nd ACCS/DM, Arrv AMARC 02OCT2002. This was the first C-130E used for the first ABCCC-1964. Was originally assigned to the 345th TCS of the 516th TCW at Dyess. Became one of 6 C-130E's sent to Eglin in 1963, with the new 4486 Test Squadron of the new 4485th Test Wing. In 1964 the airplane was flown to LTV in Texas for ABCCC mods. I was the first loadmaster for it, part of crew with R.Lavo as A/C. The original air cond. "Mickey Mouse ears were huge and slowed the plane quite a bit. They were later changed to much smaller ones. Also had 4 RAT driven "transponders", 2 per wing. Dan Sachs
