This airframe was built as a F-100C and redesignated GF-100C in Jan 1959. It was transferred to museum program in 1974 and converted by 3345th Consolidated Maintenance Squadron at Chanute AFB.to represent a Thunderbird aircraft. A composite aircraft with fuselage of 54-1784 and wings and vertical stabilizer of F-100D.
