Many WWII types were ferried back through Prestwick from points East to the US, but this camouflaged C-46 strayed into Heathrow and was abandoned by the ferry pilot,(Hughie Green rumoured to be involved) and was a 'fixture' at Heathrow for several weeks Note the rifle ports in the blanked off windows and 2101078 still on fin. Restored unstamped photo but possibly by LHR legend Brian Stainer.
