Date approximate. Think Richard Johnson and Nephew were mfrs. of Elastoplast etc. Richard Johnson & Nephew were not the manufacturers of Elastoplast, they were a wire making company based in Bradford (a district of Manchester, Lancashire, UK) they made all sorts of wire and wire products such as barbed wire, wire fencing and underwater communications cables - In fact they were known as 'The Home of the tarns-Atlantic cable.' They were even involved in manufacturing part of the PLUTO pipeline during WWII.
