This and another Soviet An-12 (-11719) shut down Heathrow for an hour flying circuits around it until an interpreter got to the tower to pass on landing instructions, then things calmed down.They were on their way to an Aerobatic competition in Gloucestershire. Registrations -11110 and 11719 were applied to different civil build An-12's later in the 1970's but these were military build aircraft. This is not c/n 01347902; the registration was re-used by a second An-12 which was manufactured in 1971 (actual official date was 06 July 1971) The year of manufacture is shown in the c/n with 01 signifying 1971 so cannot be the aircraft which visited in 1970.
