This aircraft landed at Lawdar by mistake and was prevented from taking off again by an alert Army officer who blocked its take-off run with his Land Rover. It was an Egyptian Air Force machine and had flown into Aden from the Yemen. Its serial number was 1148 (in Arabic). A team was flown out from Boscombe Down to prepare and fly it to Khormaksar where it remained in a steadily deteriorating state thereafter.
